Technology

Technology used in infertility treatments In order to perform the assisted reproduction treatments properly, it is necessary to have special technology. This technology requires special installations, equipment and specialized methodology that you can hardly get at any conventional gynecologic appointment. The results of a fertility clinic are mostly due to the technology used, being this a very important point to consider when looking for a fertility clinic. Ideally, the clinic must be designed as a fertility clinic since the beginning, complying with the technological requirements to perform the treatments. This is why you should make sure that your clinic has been designed as such since the beginning, also making sure that the equipment has all the technical and quality specifications. FiVER has considered all the above, developing the necessary technology to bring our patients our treatments, obtaining the best results. Show more FiVER installations FiVER was designed and built to be a reproduction center since the beginning. The different building zones are distributed to function according to the needs of the treatments performed. Assisted reproduction Laboratories The laboratories are the most important zone in a reproduction center. This is the place where we work with sperm, oocytes and embryos. The andrology lab is where the semen samples are processed and where we prepare the sperm that will be used in the treatment or that will be frozen. The embiology lab is where we receive and prepare the oocytes, where the oocytes are fertilized with the sperm and where the embryos are kept until being transferred to the patient or frozen. In FiVER, our labs comply with the most relevant specifications: Labs are strategically located towards the procedure rooms, to facilitate the transport of the gametes and personnel circulation. The materials and the finishing touches of the laboratories are specific for the preservation of the embryos. The painting is epoxy special and doesn’t produce vapors or odors. The surfaces are flat and smooth and we only place any necessary equipment inside the lab in order to enable the cleaning processes. The embryology lab has an special air conditioning system that filters air and produces positive pressure to avoid the entry of dust. Besides, it keeps constant temperature and humidity needed during the procedures. The laboratories are windowless, in order to avoid the entry of natural light which could alter sperm, oocytes or embryos. Show more Procedure room This is where the oocytes are extracted, the embryos are transfered and the semen is introduced in to our patients. It is located next to the lab, in order to transport the gametes and embryos immediately and safely. Similar to the embryology lab, the temperature, air quality and humidity are controlled. This room is only used for the assisted reproduction treatments, in order to avoid contamination and embriotoxic odors that would be produced if other procedures were performed. Recovery rooms This is where patients are prepared before the procedure and where they relax after each treatment. These are rooms conditioned for the patient to be comfortable and relaxed.
